About me
Hey, my alias is Raider00321. I have been working on developing a game for a bit of fun, but a bit about me.
I have had working in the Information Technology sector for over a decade.
In my time, my primary discipline is Software Engineering. Since I was a teenager, I have had a very strong keen interest in developing software. I find it to be a highly creative field, of which you will never learn everything. Literally every day, the field changes; with now opportunities every day to learn something know.
Anyway, my development experience goes from languages such as Java, c# and python to higher; more abstract principles such as SOLID, design patterns, DRY vs WET as well as many many other methodologies and ideologies.
During my career I have moved from Software Engineer, to a technical subject matter expert, to a Team lead and into Management and specialty engineering (Test Automation and Test principles).
Regardless of the new and different software engineering principles I have been subjected to, one thing has never changed; and at this point in time doubt it ever will at this point of time. That is my passion for designing and engineering software solutions and working to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Anyway, this leads to this post. I've decided to develop a game in my spare time, and capture progress as I go. I don't know what I will do with it yet. I might get bored and stop, release it for free, or who knows. Maybe I will sell it on a games distribution platform!
Regardless of which way it goes, it will help me expand my knowledge and capability in the software engineering domain.
For me, this is what its all about.
